It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to the 46th Annual Conference of the Indian Society for Surgery of The Hand, “ISSHCON 2023” to be held at Chandigarh from 8th to 10th of September 2023.

Chandigarh, The City Beautiful is famous for its unique architecture, excellent shopping avenues, beautiful surrounding destinations and above all the ambience of warm hospitality.

As our sub-specialty grows and evolves further, it becomes imperative to adopt a holistic approach towards the complete spectrum of the hand surgery with an attempt to learn the contemporary concepts and recent advances, hence the theme, “Innovate, Improvise and Evolve”.

We are planning to invite the best talents amongst us for the Panel Discussions, Symposia, Orations and Guest Lecturers with a view to resolve the controversies and challenges faced by all of us in clinical practice. We also intend to learn from your experiences and invite your contributions and views in attempt to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

The conference will be held at "Hotel Mount View" which is premium five star hotel in Chandigarh. It is also conveniently located near the PGI, Chandigarh.

Message from President ISSH

The Indian Society for Surgery of Hand will celebrate the Golden Jubilee in 2023 and it is my great privilege as President of the Society to invite all ISSH members and associates to join the celebrations and participate in the 46th ISSH Conference in Chandigarh during 8-10th September. This is a special year and we are planning to invite all our past ISSH Presidents and founding members and honour them for their contributions. We have invited all our overseas members, diaspora hand surgeons and a host of national societies to join us for the special day for celebrations. I’m hoping that a large number of International Hand Surgeons will attend the conference and deliberate on recent advances in the science and practice of hand surgery. This is an opportunity for Hand Surgeons to showcase their achievements and for younger surgeons to establish national and international contacts. The conference is being organised by Department of Plastic Surgery, PGI Chandigarh on behalf of ISSH. The Organizing team has made excellent arrangements for the scientific sessions, stay and importantly an exhaustive entertainment programme. I had the opportunity to meet the organising team in Chandigarh recently and visited the sites arranged for the conference, stalls and entertainment. The 46th ISSHCON in Chandigarh will be memorable event. I urge all ISSH members to register early with their spouse and avail the concessional registration rates. Let us all meet in large numbers for the golden jubilee year celebration, bhangra and great northern hospitality.
